在u型, studio art practice was not about waiting for inspiration; we believe that artists design problems and 的n solve 的m, opening up new ideas and possibilities while responding to materials that re-shape 的 originating question. 学生 left Oxbow with a set of skills that can be reconfigured to meet 的 challenges of ever-changing goals and environments.
The Oxbow curriculum was designed to match 的 requirements of 的 nation’s best public and private high schools and was as committed to academics as it was to art making. All of 的 courses at Oxbow were accredited, honors level, and college preparatory. 牛轭学校 was a private, independent and not for profit organization.
牛轭学校 was located in Napa, 加州, forty-five minutes from San Francisco, one hour from 的 Pacific coast, and within a few hours of exceptional state and national parks. 学生 enjoyed an inspirational campus setting while still having access to all 的 amenities of downtown Napa, which was just a short stroll from campus.

历史
In 1998, 创始人安·哈奇, Robert and Margrit Mondavi sought to create a studio art environment where artists, faculty and students would collaborate in 的 practice of intellectual investigation and artistic inquiry. The founders acquired a three-acre site on Third Street in Napa overlooking 的 Napa River and commissioned Modernist architect Stanley Saitowitz to design 的 campus. Each studio is a fully equipped 1,250-square-foot building, featuring 18-foot high ceilings and expansive glass garage doors that let in light and roll up to an inspiring view of 的 river. Since its founding Oxbow's reputation grew nationally and internationally as one of 的 best programs available to high school students interested in 的 visual arts. Oxbow was one of a kind when it was founded.

牛轭学校 is fully accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and a member of 的 National Arts Education Association (NAEA), 的 Arts Schools Network, 的 学期学校网络, and 的 National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
Oxbow courses fulfill 的 credit requirements for on-time high school graduation. The Oxbow Admissions team can advise families in conversations with sending schools for successful re-entry and on-time graduation.
